Hay Auction Cancled
Due to the volatility of the Hay market in southern AZ we have elected to cancel our planed hay auctions for the winter of 2012. Instead we will broker horse and cattle hay for you to purchase hay for you cattle or horses.
Hay will be sold by semi load only. Sold by the ton not by the bale. (figured your currrent cost per ton by weighing your bales. Not all bales are equal. then dividing the cost by the weight. This will give you your price per pound. then multiply by 2000 lbs to get your ton cost. then compar our ton cost to what you are paying now.) Current market in southern AZ is $460 a ton for Alfalfa, Bermuda or mix grasses. Our current market will allow us to have premium quality alfalfa, bermuda or grass hay delivered to your location for between $300 and $350 a ton semi loads horse hay and $275 to $350 cattle hay. We have small square bales, med square bales, large squares and round bales.
In our research of the current southern AZ hay market we have found tens of thousand of bales of hay being held by producers for higher selling prices. One producer less then 3 miles from my current location is setting on 39,000 bales of horse hay. We are also finding that three string bales very from 70 lbs to 90 lbs. Yet they are selling for the same price per bale. Don't short change your self or your horses and cattle.
Our bales will weigh between 60 lbs. and 75 lbs. for easy handling. The hay loads will be guaranteeing to be non-rain on, mold free and have limited dust. The hay will be hauled in Van box trailers so it will remain dry. The hay will be test and you will know what you are buying.
The hay must by prepay for and your check will be held in escrow until the hay is delivered and accepted by the buyer. The hay producers selling the hay know the hay will be theirs if they ship a poor load.
Approx. 450 to 580 bales of hay per semi load. Trailer is weighed before and after loading. You will get a copy of the weight ticket.
