This beef herd is an outside investor owned herd from the ranch partnership. The beef investor will invest in the cost of one bred cow (**see below for second option of ownership of steers) The investor then owns that cow; the ranch will raise that cow & calf for the investor, splitting any cost in half with the investor of raising the calf from the cow and the cost of maintaining and breeding the cow each year there after. At the end of one year, the investor will received a side of naturally raised processed beef and the ranch will received one a side of naturally raised process beef to sell to the public. As long as the cow remains in production and the investor pays thier required part of raising the beef and maintaining the cow, the investor will received their side of beef in processed form of the naturally raised beef each year. Because of the possibility of death loss with any herd. The ranch will guaranteed that the investor will received a side of beef for the year the death may occur of the cow or calf.
**Second option of ownership, the investor will accept asignment of one bull calf at no charge (there is no purchase fee for the bull calf). The ranch will split the cost of feeding and care of the bull calf. When the steer is ready for slaughter it will be split with 50% of the meat going to the ranch and 50% to the partner. This will still be a reduction in what it cost for the beef in the retail store. You have $150 cost outlay for the bull calf to cover the milk replacer for the first month.
The advanage to this type of beef investment is: the beef is raised naturally, the investor knows where there beef came from, they know that the beef is USDA Inspected at time of processing, there is no middleman so it lowers the cost of beef that is bought over that in a store or butcher shop. The investor can have the beef process/custom cut to thier specs.

If interested we have a brother auctioneer who raises Naturally Fed Hogs and will sell a full, half or quarter hog in the fall of the year. The meat is excellent and you can order it cut like you want. No investment program for Hogs as yet, but if you want good pork, naturally raised and know where it comes from give us a call.
